let your light shine

this morning our scripture reading was from mark 4.

and He said to them, 'is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand? for nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light.'

we are called to be the light of the world. this revelation was the first i experience as a new christian. i desired more than anything to be a light in this dark world. once again that is my prayer in this dark age. as the presidential debates continue and a new president will lead this country, my prayer is that we would not hide our lights under a basket or bed, but rather that we raise it up for all to see. i believe that this next presidency may bring about some very defining moments for our country. i believe with all my heart that God can use whomever He chooses...i pray that through the trials to come that this belief will not falter and that my faith remain strong despite the depravity of man.
