china

as i lay in the flooring gazing up at my book shelf, a book jumps out at me: "tortured for Christ" by richard wurmbrand. i received this book almost 2 months ago when mujahid el masih shared his story at our church. to get your own free copy go to http://torturedforchrist.com/ as i hid in the safety of my quilt i peeled back the cover and began to read. the author depicts a disturbing scene of life without Christ. he tells of several encounters which seem so far from the american culture which i take for granted. as he expresses his fear of the nazi's, since he is a jew, i can't help but remember my school trip to washington dc when we went to the museum solely about the holecaust. i am immediately reminded of the stuggles of today in china. this communism of russia sounds very similar to the current government of china in terms of its "closed" doors. as i read on, my heart burns for china and the blazing fire becomes all the more overwhelming as i shout out to God: when! i am ready to die for His name, for i believe with all of my heart that earth is incomparible to the paradise of heaven. i venture to say that i even desire to be there. Lord, not my will, but Your will...let that be my cry.
